Curtain Valance Cottage Collection Straight Finish

All curtains are handmade in Sweden. The valance has a velcro strip at the top, which attaches directly to the curtain track for a minimal and discreet look. The curved valance comes with two angles that provide a finished look and is suitable in front of a window.

• The valance comes with a complete kit, including a track with velcro and ceiling brackets for easy ceiling mounting. If you plan to mount your valance on the wall, you will need to purchase additional wall brackets.
• The curtain track is delivered in one single piece for lengths up to 200 cm. For lengths exceeding 200 cm, a joint piece is included to extend the track to the ordered length. Valances up to 280 cm in width are made in one single piece. For widths exceeding 280 cm, the valance is made with a 280 cm center panel, with the remaining width divided and added to each side.
• Want to hang a curtain behind your valance? Order a regular curtain track to be mounted behind the valance.
• Since all valances are handmade, the final width/length of the curtain may vary by +/- 1 cm from the ordered measurement.
• The curtain track and curtain valance are delivered separately, giving you time to prepare and install the track before the curtain valance arrives.
• Maximum width 400 cm - Maximum lenght 60 cm

For wall mounting, you will need to add wall brackets separately. Please also keep in mind that the choice of straight or curved ends for the curtain valance, the number of rails behind it, the weight of your curtains, and the overall look you want to achieve all affect which wall brackets you should choose.

Measure the full width of the wall where the valance will be installed, this will be the total width of the valance.

The recommended height for a curtain valance is approximately 35 cm, which creates a balanced and stylish impression in most windows. If you need more coverage or want a more decorative feel, you can choose a taller model – we offer curtain valances up to 60 cm in height.

Our woven linen is made from the highest quality, 67% linen and 33% viscose for a heavy drape. The fabric is certified according to OEKO-TEX. All Gotain fabrics are woven in Spain and Turkey.

Care
To maintain color and quality, we recommend vacuuming your curtains regularly. Use a soft nozzle and pull gently along the fabric to remove dust and dirt that would otherwise press into the fabric over time. Use a steamer to minimize wrinkles.

• In the case of dirt/stains, we always recommend treating the stain immediately. Clean with warm water on a white cloth - dab gently against the fabric and finish by steaming - let dry.

The material is loosely woven and light-filtering, allowing daylight to pass through gently while softening the edges of sunlight. Available in striped and floral patterns, each valance introduces a subtle play of colour and texture, whether in blue, green, yellow, or red tones.

The straight edge creates a clean, structured line, while the fabric’s transparency helps maintain a bright and open atmosphere. Handcrafted to your measurements in Gotain’s Swedish atelier, the valance features a discreet velcro strip for easy attachment to the included curtain track. Regular vacuuming with a soft nozzle helps maintain colour and texture, and steaming is recommended to keep the drape smooth. Spot cleaning with warm water is advised for stains.
