Terms of purchase

§ 1 Terms of Purchase

By placing an order on Gotain’s website, you accept these Terms & Conditions in full.
A binding purchase agreement is entered into once Gotain has confirmed the order by sending an order confirmation to the email address provided by the customer. The order confirmation should be saved for future reference in case of contact with Gotain’s customer service.

Gotain reserves the right to adjust prices, stock availability and to correct factual errors on the website or in advertisements. Examples of factual errors include, but are not limited to, incorrect prices, product descriptions, and stock balance.

Gotain may, at any time, update these Terms & Conditions, prices, assortment, descriptions or images on the website.

Custom-made products - no right of withdrawal

All Gotain curtains are custom made according to the customer’s specific measurements and preferences. For this reason, no right of withdrawal, return, or exchange applies in accordance with Article 16(c) of the EU Consumer Rights Directive (2011/83/EU).

§ 2 Payment

Payment must be made in advance using the payment methods offered at checkout. Gotain reserves the right to cancel an order if payment is not received or if fraud is suspected.

§ 3 Delivery

Estimated delivery times are stated on the website and in the order confirmation but are not guaranteed. Delays may occur due to production or shipping circumstances outside Gotain’s control.

Gotain bears the risk for the product until delivery has been made to the customer. The customer is responsible for checking the goods upon delivery and reporting any visible transport damage directly to the courier as well as to Gotain.

§ 4 Reclamation (Complaints)

All Gotain curtains undergo quality control before shipment. If you receive a defective or incorrect product, you must notify Gotain as soon as the defect is discovered. Complaints must be submitted in writing via email to ensure traceability. Please describe the defect in detail and include photos to allow us to assess your case.

If a complaint is approved, Gotain will provide a prepaid return label which must be used within 30 days. After this period, the complaint will be considered expired.

If a complaint is not approved, a service fee of 299 SEK per curtain will be charged to cover the cost of return shipping.

Regular wear and tear, or products purchased more than 2 years ago, do not qualify for complaint. However, Gotain complies with applicable statutory consumer rights in the country of purchase (minimum 2 years within the EU, 3 years in Sweden).

§ 5 Applicable Law and Disputes

These Terms & Conditions are governed by Swedish law. Gotain undertakes to follow recommendations from the Swedish National Board for Consumer Disputes (ARN).

In the event of a legal dispute, the matter shall be settled in Swedish courts, unless otherwise required by mandatory consumer protection laws.

§ 6 Force Majeure

Gotain shall not be held liable for delays or damages caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, fire, war, labor disputes, government actions, pandemics, or disruptions to transport or energy supply.

§ 7 Copyright

All designs, products, and content on the website belong to Gotain AB, corporate identity number 559065-5642, and are protected by intellectual property law.

§ 8 Personal Data

Gotain is responsible for all personal data collected from you. The data will be used to process your order, manage deliveries, conduct credit assessments, and provide offers where applicable.

Personal data is processed in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

§ 9 Cookies

Our website uses cookies to improve the user experience and to collect information about how visitors interact with the site. Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website.

Which cookies do we use and why?

Necessary cookies – Essential for the website to function properly, e.g. for shopping cart and checkout. These cookies do not store personal data and cannot be disabled.

Performance cookies – Collect anonymous information about how the website is used (e.g. most visited pages, error messages). This information helps us improve site performance.
