Scallop Valance Straight Finish Dove Blue

All Gotain curtains are sewn by hand in Sweden. The scallop edge valance is available in two different styles, with straight finish or curved finish. One model has curved ends, which is the classic valance look that frames the curtain installation and covers the sides. • The valance comes with a complete kit, ready for easy installation. The kit includes a track with velcro tape and ceiling brackets for ceiling mounting.

• Valance with straight finish: Is delivered in one piece up to 200cm long. For longer valances than 200cm, the track will be cut in two, a jointer is included to fix the two parts together. Valances up to 280 cm in width are made in one single piece of fabric. For widths exceeding 280 cm, the valance is made with a 280 cm center panel, with the remaining width divided and added to each side.
• Valance with curved finish: Is delivered in one piece up to 200cm (79 in)long. For longer valances than 200cm (79 in), the track will be cut in two, a jointer is included to fix the two parts together. The curved ends are bent angles attached to the straight track using separate joining parts, one on the right side and one on the left side. The depth of the bent anges is 15cm (5.9 in). Valances up to 280 cm in width are made in one single piece of fabric. For widths exceeding 280 cm (110 in), the valance is made with a 280 cm (110 in) center panel, with the remaining width divided and added to each side.
• Since all valances are handmade, the final width/length of the curtain may vary by +/- 1 cm (0.4 in) from the ordered measurement.
• Maximum width 400 cm (157 in) - Maximum lenght 60 cm (23.6 in)

Material
Our woven linen is made from high quality materials, 67% linen and 33% viscose for a heavy fall. The fabric is certified according to OEKO-TEX. All Gotain fabrics are woven in Spain and Turkey. Our linen curtains may sometimes vary slightly in shade and texture between rolls due to the natural characteristics of linen.

Care
To maintain color and quality, we recommend vacuuming your curtains regularly. Use a soft nozzle and pull gently along the fabric to remove dust and dirt that would otherwise press into the fabric over time. Use a steamer to minimize wrinkles.

In the case of dirt/stains, we always recommend treating the stain immediately. Clean with warm water on a white cloth - dab gently against the fabric and finish by steaming - let dry.

Measure the full width of the wall where the valance will be installed, this will be the total width of the valance.

The recommended height for a curtain valance is approximately 35 cm (13.8 in), which creates a balanced and stylish impression in most windows. If you need more coverage or want a more decorative feel, you can choose a taller model – we offer curtain valances up to 60 cm (23.6 in) in height.

The Made-to-measure Scallop Valance Straight Finish is crafted from a blend of 67% linen and 33% viscose, woven in Spain for a soft texture with a gentle drape. The fabric is loosely woven and light-filtering, allowing daylight to pass through while subtly framing the window. The scalloped edge, finished with a contrasting trim, adds a decorative detail that brings definition and interest to the top of your curtain installation.

This valance is designed to create a tailored look in living rooms, bedrooms, or kitchens, where it can be used to conceal curtain tracks or to give a neat, finished appearance to bay windows. The straight finish leaves the sides open, making it suitable for wall-to-wall installations or as a refined accent above curtains. Regular vacuuming with a soft nozzle and occasional steaming will help preserve the fabric’s appearance. Spot cleaning with warm water is recommended for minor marks, with dry cleaning as an option for more persistent stains. All curtain tracks, rods and accessories are shipped within 1-3 working days. Custom length curtain tracks are tailor-made to your exact specifications, which means that we do not accept returns. We offer a flat shipping fee of £19 for all curtain panels, interior details and accessories.

For larger parcels such as roman blinds, tracks, and rods, the shipping fee is £59.
