Hello Office, Angelica Svanström
South of Söder, Angelica Svanström has created her creative sanctuary - the office that also serves as the home of her fashion brand Giacca. What began as a simple, pared-back starting point has been transformed into a Mid-Century Modern–inspired haven, where auction finds coexist with details collected from around the world. Dressing the walls in Bouclé was an early and obvious decision in the planning process, but when the Mustard shade was introduced, it was love at first sight.
The office is designed to work equally well for focused tasks as for creative conversations, thanks to the distinct zones into which it is divided. A generous lounge area includes a sofa with soft lines, a Ligne Roset armchair, and a Naga-style coffee table carved from a single massive piece of wood. The table’s sculptural, almost primal expression offers a striking contrast to the room’s more streamlined forms, giving the seating area a clear focal point.
On the other side of the space, a large dining table and a desk bear traces of ongoing creative processes. The overall impression is defined by a blend of influences - Asian references meeting Italian elegance - and it is precisely in these encounters that the tension Angelica seeks emerges. Just like her brand Giacca, the interior balances timelessness with personal expression, creating an aesthetic that could never be mistaken for anyone else’s.
Even the small kitchen is part of the story. Here, one is transported to Italy through plastered walls, weathered urns, and generous ceramic dishes filled with fruit. Light filters through thin Roman blinds, lending the room a warm, Mediterranean atmosphere. It serves as a reminder of the power of textiles - not only to frame a space, but to dress it entirely and transform its character.
For Angelica, interiors are never just a backdrop, but an active part of her creative process. From the Bouclé-clad mustard accents of the office to the Mediterranean-inspired details of the kitchen, each room carries the same signature: an intuitive mix of influences, where textiles act as the binding element and the whole is shaped by her unmistakable personal aesthetic."
