Curtain Valance Woven Linen Curved Finish

All curtains are handmade in Sweden. The valance has a velcro strip at the top, which attaches directly to the curtain track for a minimal and discreet look. The curved valance comes with two angles that provide a finished look and is suitable in front of a window.

• The valance comes with a complete kit, including a track with velcro and ceiling brackets for easy ceiling mounting. If you plan to mount your valance on the wall, you will need to purchase additional wall brackets.
• The curtain track is delivered in one single piece for lengths up to 200 cm. For lengths exceeding 200 cm, a joint piece is included to extend the track to the ordered length. Valances up to 280 cm in width are made in one single piece. For widths exceeding 280 cm, the valance is made with a 280 cm center panel, with the remaining width divided and added to each side.

• Since all valances are handmade, the final width/length of the curtain may vary by +/- 1 cm from the ordered measurement.

Our woven linen is made from the highest quality, 67% linen and 33% viscose for a heavy drape. The fabric is certified according to OEKO-TEX. All Gotain fabrics are woven in Spain and Turkey.

Care
To maintain color and quality, we recommend vacuuming your curtains regularly. Use a soft nozzle and pull gently along the fabric to remove dust and dirt that would otherwise press into the fabric over time. Use a steamer to minimize wrinkles.

• In the case of dirt/stains, we always recommend treating the stain immediately. Clean with warm water on a white cloth - dab gently against the fabric and finish by steaming - let dry.

Curtain Valance Width:

The valance is 15 cm deep and is mounted on the ceiling (if you want to mount it on the wall, you need to contact us to order wall brackets).

The valance is installed in front of a standard curtain track with curtain lengths. To measure how wide the valance should be, take the outer width of your window frame and add +55 cm.

To measure how wide the curtain track should be, take the width of the valance and subtract -34 cm. The final look will be a valance that covers your window plus +15 cm on each side.

Curtain Valance Height:

The recommended height for a curtain valance is approximately 35 cm, which creates a balanced and stylish impression in most windows. If you need more coverage or want a more decorative feel, you can choose a taller model – we offer curtain valances up to 60 cm in height.

The loosely woven fabric is light-filtering, allowing daylight to pass through while providing a subtle frame for windows or beds. This valance is designed to conceal curtain tracks and create a smooth, continuous line above your curtains. The curved ends make it especially suited for framing windows or creating a canopy effect above a bed, adding a sense of structure without heaviness. Each valance is tailor-made for your home in our Swedish atelier, ensuring precise dimensions and careful finishing. The valance attaches to the included track with a velcro strip for a minimal, seamless appearance. The kit comes complete with a ceiling-mounted track and brackets, and for wall mounting, additional brackets are available separately. For widths above 200 cm, the track is delivered in sections with a jointer for stability, while the fabric is constructed in panels to maintain a continuous look.

Regular vacuuming with a soft nozzle and occasional steaming will help preserve the fabric’s appearance. For stains, spot cleaning with warm water is recommended, with dry cleaning as an option for more persistent marks. We offer a flat shipping fee of £19 for all curtain panels, interior details and accessories.
