Scallop Valance Curved Finish Terracotta/Ivory

All Gotain curtains are sewn by hand in Sweden. The scallop edge valance is available in two different styles, with straight finish or curved finish. One model has curved ends, which is the classic valance look that frames the curtain installation and covers the sides. • The valance comes with a complete kit, ready for easy installation. The kit includes a track with velcro tape and ceiling brackets for ceiling mounting.

• Valance with straight finish: Is delivered in one piece up to 79 in (200 cm) long. For longer valances than 79 in (200 cm), the track will be cut in two, a jointer is included to fix the two parts together. Valances up to 110 in (280 cm) in width are made in one single piece of fabric. For widths exceeding 110 in (280 cm), the valance is made with a 110 in (280 cm) center panel, with the remaining width divided and added to each side.
• Valance with curved finish: Is delivered in one piece up to 79 in (200 cm) long. For longer valances than 79 in (200 cm), the track will be cut in two, a jointer is included to fix the two parts together. The curved ends are bent angles attached to the straight track using separate joining parts, one on the right side and one on the left side. The depth of the bent anges is 15cm. Valances up to 110 in (280 cm) in width are made in one single piece of fabric. For widths exceeding 110 in (280 cm), the valance is made with a 110 in (280 cm) center panel, with the remaining width divided and added to each side.
• Since all valances are handmade, the final width/length of the curtain may vary by +/- 0.4 in (1 cm) from the ordered measurement.

Material
Our woven linen is made from high quality materials, 67% linen and 33% viscose for a heavy fall. The fabric is certified according to OEKO-TEX. All Gotain fabrics are woven in Spain and Turkey. Our linen curtains may sometimes vary slightly in shade and texture between rolls due to the natural characteristics of linen.

Care
To maintain color and quality, we recommend vacuuming your curtains regularly. Use a soft nozzle and pull gently along the fabric to remove dust and dirt that would otherwise press into the fabric over time. Use a steamer to minimize wrinkles.

In the case of dirt/stains, we always recommend treating the stain immediately. Clean with warm water on a white cloth - dab gently against the fabric and finish by steaming - let dry.

Curtain Valance Width:

The valance is 5.9 inches (15 cm) deep and is mounted on the ceiling (if you want to mount it on the wall, you need to contact us to order wall brackets).

The valance is installed in front of a standard curtain track with curtain panels. To measure how wide the valance should be, take the outer width of your window frame and add 21.7 inches (+55 cm).

To measure how wide the curtain track should be, take the width of the valance and subtract 13.4 inches (−34 cm). The final look will be a valance that covers your window plus 5.9 inches (+15 cm) on each side.

Curtain Valance Height:

The recommended height for a curtain valance is approximately 13.8 inches (35 cm), which creates a balanced and stylish impression in most windows. If you need more coverage or want a more decorative feel, you can choose a taller model – we offer curtain valances up to 23.6 inches (60 cm) in height.

The Made-to-Measure Scalloped Valance – Curved Finish is crafted from a blend of 67% linen and 33% viscose, woven in Spain to create a soft, textured fabric with a fluid, natural drape. The lightly open weave allows daylight to filter through, gently illuminating the space while adding a subtle frame to the window. The curved silhouette, finished with a scalloped edge and contrasting trim, introduces a decorative detail that adds depth and character to the upper window area.

Designed to conceal curtain tracks and create a smooth, continuous top line, this valance offers a refined finishing layer above your curtains. The curved sides wrap slightly around the edges, making it especially well suited for framing windows or forming a canopy above a bed. A wide range of color combinations allows for easy coordination with curtain panels or roman shades, making it ideal for layered window treatments in bedrooms, living rooms, or children’s spaces.

Each scalloped valance is custom-made to your exact measurements in our Swedish atelier, ensuring a precise fit and a high-quality finish. It attaches to the included ceiling track using a discreet Velcro system for a clean, seamless look. The complete kit includes a ceiling-mounted track and brackets for easy installation, while wall mounting is available with additional brackets sold separately. For widths over 79 inches (200 cm), the track is supplied in multiple sections with a connector for added stability, and the fabric is constructed in panels to maintain a continuous, cohesive appearance across wider spans.

The linen blend is selected for durability and its ability to soften naturally over time while retaining its structure and color. To care for the valance, vacuum gently with a soft brush attachment and use light steaming to preserve its drape. Spot clean with warm water for minor stains, or choose dry cleaning for more thorough care.
