What is the difference between these curtains and your lined blackout curtains?

The Core model has the blackout function woven directly into the fabric and does not have a separate lining. Our other blackout curtains (Linen, Velvet, and Bouclé) have a blackout lining sewn onto the back. The result is a slimmer construction with a softer, more fluid drape.

Is the blackout effect as effective as in the lined models?

Yes. This curtain features true blackout and blocks light to the same maximum level as our lined models. The difference lies in the construction, not the performance.

Are the curtains 100% blackout?

Yes, the curtains have a true blackout construction and blocks light to the maximum extent. For the best effect, we recommend installing it high and wide above the window.

Are all Core collection colors available for immediate order?

Three colors are available for immediate order: Ivory, Sand and Mustard. Olive Green, Dove Blue, and Taupe are available for pre-order – placing a pre-order secures your spot in line once the fabric arrives at the atelier. Estimated delivery and production start is in early May.

Core Collection

The textile is specially developed by us at Gotain together with our factory in Spain. The blackout fiber is woven directly into the fabric, meaning the light-blocking effect is built into the curtain itself. As no blackout lining is added on the back, the curtain looks equally refined from both sides.

Our blackout curtains are crafted from premium-quality materials, made from 100% polyester and finished with a fire-retardant treatment for enhanced safety and performance. The fabric is certified according to OEKO-TEX® standards.

In the industry, light control ranges from dim-out to full blackout. At Gotain, we use true blackout construction, providing the highest degree of light blockage for superior room darkening.
