How to measure: Roman Blinds

Roman blinds are perfect for tricky window placements or combined with long curtain lengths to take your curtain hanging to the next level.

GET ASSISTANCE FROM THE WINDOW FRAME

We recommend letting the roman blind land and frame the window bit outside its own width, yet as close to the outer edges of the frame as possible. So measure the width of your window, from the outer edge of the window frame, and the height from the upper edge of the window frame down to the window sill.

DECORATOR'S 101 - ADAPT THE LENGTH

An insider tip is to choose a roman blind that does not stretch all the way down to the window sill, to you avoid too much fabric when the curtain is lifted and up. In the picture you can see one roman blind fully extended (130cm), and the other one lifted into the desired "standard" position.

DECORATOR'S 101 - ADAPT THE PLACEMENT

How high up should the roman blind be mounted? The roman blind can be mounted both on a wall or ceiling, with the help of the included brackets. Here, the roman blind is placed 15cm above the upper edge of the window frame to give the feeling of more spaceous windows. The same as for curtain lengths, think high!
