Hello (again) Home, Elin Skoglund!
We are on our way to Elin’s home in Vasastan, but this time the destination is a new address. When she opens the door we are welcomed by the same warmth and light as always, even though it’s a grey morning in December. Already when crossing the threshold, we know that Elin and her partner have created something magical here.
Immediately we get swept away by the feeling of harmonious tones and natural materials, where the soft shapes of the (bespoke!) staircase and bouclé-dressed couch are enchanted by crispy Hotel Voile curtains in white. Walls and details have been painted in a neutral hue, that still catches your attention with its texture. The soft transitions is a theme throughout the apartment, and Elin has chosen to panel her rails behind a cornice in order to let the billowing curtains stand in the spotlight. A winning edge to enhance the textile feeling!
There are few interior details that can compete with Elin’s furry best friend Selma, but our sphere pillows and wool blanket in contrasting colors do their best. A place for both inspiration and serenity!
In the kitchen, a true statement piece with its cooking island dressed in marble, Elin has yet again chosen curtains with excellence. A crips white roman blind in made to measure dimensions, fits like a glove in this built in window. A smart curtain solution for tricky window-conditions!
