How to measure: Measure for Curtain Panels on a Rod
How to measure the Length:
To achieve the correct curtain length, measure from the bottom of the curtain ring hanging on the rod down to the point where you want the curtain to end.
We recommend adding 2 cm (0.8 in) to your measurement. This allows the curtain to hang beautifully and sit at the correct height once attached to the rod.
Example: If the distance from the bottom of the curtain ring to the floor is 248 cm (97.6 in), choose a curtain length of 250 cm (98.4 in).

We recommend deciding where the curtain rod will be mounted before taking your measurements. Follow our Curtain Rod Measuring Guide to ensure the correct height and placement. Once you've determined the rod position, measure from the planned bottom of the curtain ring down to your desired curtain length, then add 2 cm (0.8 in).
Choosing the right Width:
Selecting the correct curtain width is just as important as choosing the right length. Sufficient fabric creates soft, elegant folds, whether the curtains are fully closed or neatly stacked to the sides of the window.
Single Width:
- Stacked width: approx. 20 cm (7.9 in)
- Extended width: approx. 90 cm (35.4 in)
- Fabric width: 140 cm (55 in)
Ideal for narrower windows or when you have limited wall space beside the window.
Double Width:
- Stacked width: approx. 40 cm (15.7 in)
- Extended width: approx. 160 cm (63 in)
- Fabric width: 280 cm (110 in)
Recommended if you have 40 cm (16 in) or more of wall space on each side of the window. Double-width curtains create a fuller, more luxurious look with generous folds, whether the curtains are open or closed.
Our Recommendation:
If space allows, we always recommend choosing Double Width. The extra fabric creates a more luxurious appearance and gives your curtains a fuller, more elegant drape, whether they frame the window or are drawn across it.
